I’ve taught my children to save… #simplystories

“In my culture money is very important; you have to pay off things, buy new things and support the people around you. My children must understand money as well. If they ask me for things they must know that I don’t just have it, they have to wait. I’ve taught my children to save. They know to put some money away even if it’s not a lot. If I knew how to save more money it would make my life better.

Money is precious, and I’ve taught my children to understand that. If something, god forbid, happens to myself or my family I’ve put measures in place to keep my family secure. The most difficult financial situation was when my husband died. 2013 was very difficult. He had nothing, so I had to try and do everything I could just to get the money to bury him.”
